Sterile tissue culture: no algae, no snails, no planaria. Nothing to quarantine. One cup covers roughly 20 × 20 cm of substrate; a 60 cm tank wants four to six.

Rinse the gel medium off, split into clumps of two or three blades and plant 2 cm apart. Strong light and steady CO₂ for the first two weeks, and it starts running sideways.

Best between 22–26 °C and pH 6.0–7.2.
